Glenneyre Street will be closed Monday between Park Avenue and Legion

Street from 6 a.m. to 5 p.m. for construction of an affordable

housing project at 450 Glenneyre St. Westbound traffic can go

through, but it will be reduced to one lane. Traffic will be diverted

to Coast Highway and Catalina Street during the closure.

A sidewalk construction project on Park Avenue from Wendt Terrace

to St. Ann’s Drive will eliminate parking in that section until the

end of July.

A pedestrian project on Temple Hills Drive will begin July 21,

which will overlap with the Park Avenue project for five days and

create “a significant congestion problem,” Director of Public Works

Steve May said. Temple Hills Drive will be closed to uphill traffic

around the clock from Thalia Street to Dunning Drive during

construction. Traffic bound for Temple Hills or Top of the World

residential areas will be detoured along Glenneyre Street to Park

Avenue to Alta Laguna Boulevard to Temple Hills Drive. The project is

scheduled for completion in September.
