Redeemer Lutheran School and Church will host a seminar to teach

participants about stroke prevention and understanding mental illness

from 9 a.m. to noon at 16351 Springdale St. Light refreshments will

be served and child care is available. A drawing will be held for a

$50 American Express certificate and Edwards Theaters movie tickets.

Seaside Community Church will hold auditions for its annual

production of “The Nazarene” from 1 to 3 p.m. Auditions are by

appointment only. The production team is seeking female and male

actors, ages 18 to 60, who can sing and dance or move well for 20

principle and supporting roles. Those auditioning should prepare a

song and be prepared to read from the script, and should dress

comfortably for routine work with the choreographer. Those unable to

attend are encouraged to mail a picture and resume to Steve Wilber,

Huntington Beach Church

of Christ will host Vacation Bible School for children 4 through

12 from 9 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. through Aug. 7 for free. The church is

DEC. 19 to 21

Seaside Community

Church will present its annual production of “The Nazarene.” The

musical is a warm historical piece about the origins of Jesus, his

parents Joseph and Mary, and their home town of Nazareth. The musical

will be directed by Steve Wilber, choreographed by Mindy Reid. The

musical direction will be done by the writer, Moses Toth.
