United States Congressmen Dana Rohrabacher and Darrell Issa

(R-Vista) will be the featured speakers at a dinner offered by Orange

County Asian community leaders. The dinner will be held from 5:30 to

Services will present the fourth annual Save Our Strays Pancake

Simple Green and the EGBAR

Foundation will host a beach clean-up at the Huntington Beach Pier

at 8:30 a.m. Free gloves and disposable bags will be given outs.

Booths with educational displays, a huge green EGBAR as tall as the

pier and free items and prizes are part of the enjoyment in helping

Be The Cause will present

the second annual 5K Walk for Hope, commemorating the second

anniversary of Sept. 11, 2001, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Bolsa Chica

State Beach. The “Festival of Inspiration” will include a performance

stage highlighting talents of cultures around the globe. There will

Writer and Emmy-winning

newscaster Kelly Lange will appear at the Huntington Beach Central

Library to discuss and sign copies of her latest novel, “Dead File.”

Lange worked 28 years at NBC and currently hosts two shows, a

half-hour national daily show and a game show. Sponsored by Friends

Of The Library, the evening includes an opportunity to purchase

Lange’s book for autograph signing and to have an optional

buffet-style dinner. Dinner begins at 6:30 p.m. and lecture seating

is at 8 p.m. The cost is $18 for dinner and preferred seating, $10

The Department of Fish and

Game will offer a free fishing day on Huntington’s beaches. All

fishing regulations, such as bag and size limits, gear restrictions,

fishing hours and stream closures remain in effect. Fishing from the

Huntington Beach pier is free every day of the year, but fishing from

the beach is only free on this day. Information:
