ART-A-FAIR

The Art-A-Fair Festival is open through Sunday. It’s at 777 Laguna

Canyon Road. Season passes for adults are $5, children under 12 free

with adult; senior discounts are available. It’s open from 10 a.m. to

9 p.m. Sunday through Thursday and 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. Friday and

Saturday. Visitors are offered the opportunity to view and acquire

art directly from the artist exhibitors. There will be special artist

SANDSTONE DISPLAY

“Works on Paper” by featured artist Lynn Welker and “Figure

Studies” by guest artist Sally Glenn will be on display at the

Sandstone Gallery from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. until Sept. 2. Information:

FINE ART AND FASHION

New paintings from Venice, Tuscany and the Italian Riviera by

Vanessa Rothe and the newest clothing from by her father, Detlev

SATURDAY

SAWDUST ART FESTIVAL

The Sawdust Art Festival is open through Aug. 31. The festival

will have more than 195 local artists displaying and selling their

handcrafted and original items in a village nestled in an eucalyptus

grove. There will be live entertainment, art workshops and

demonstrations, three cafes and a saloon. The Sawdust is at 935

Laguna Canyon Road. Tickets are $6.50 for adults, $5.50 for seniors,

$2 for children 6 to 12 and $12 for a season pass. It will be open

SEABISCUIT SIGNING

Barbara Howard will be signing her book, “Letters to Seabiscuit,”

from 2 to 4 p.m. at the Laguna Beach Library, 363 Glenneyre St. The

appearance is sponsored by the Friends of the Library. Admission is

WEEKEND HIKES

Laguna Coast Wilderness Park offers hiking, mountain biking and

equestrian riding on designated trails at the Willow Canyon Staging

Area, 20101 Laguna Canyon Road, and hiking on designated trails at

the Dilley Preserve on Laguna Canyon Road every Saturday and Sunday.

CONNECT SPIRITUALLY

FESTIVAL OF ARTS

California’s Premier Fine Art Exhibition runs through Sunday.

Purchase or admire a variety of original fine art by more than 140

artists from Orange County. Enjoy complimentary workshops, art

demonstrations, art tours, dining, special wine tasting, music,

education, cultural days and more. Exhibition is free to Laguna Beach

residents. A season pass is $5 for adults, $3 for seniors and free

for children 12 and under. It runs daily from 10 a.m. to 11:30 p.m.

BELLY DANCERS

A group of Laguna Beach’s local belly dancers will join hundreds

of guest artists at the Sawdust Festival from 6 to 7:30 p.m.

FESTIVAL

From 1 a.m. to 6 p.m. Sunday the public is invited to a Sierra

Club and California Cultural Resource Preservation Alliance

fund-raiser. The event will feature haircuts, live music,

information, outdoor boutique with Native American baskets and

jewelry. There will be live music by Evren Ozan whom received the

2001 Native American Flutist Award & Carlos Betancure, also a

Laguna.

TUESDAY

BIBLE STUDY

The semester for Word Study Laguna Beach, a community

nondenominational, non-exclusive Bible study, will begin at noon at

the Calvary Evangelical Free Church. Word Study Laguna Beach is an

independent ministry of Word Study International and meets weekly

from noon to 1 p.m. in the church at 468 Legion St. All are welcome

to participate in the short lesson, small groups, praying and
