LAGUNA ART MUSEUM

Laguna Art Museum will feature the following exhibits through Oct.

5: “Greetings from Laguna Beach: Our Town in the Early 1900s,”

“Hassel Smith: 55 Years of Painting,” it’s the first comprehensive

survey of this internationally acclaimed Bay Area artist; “Some Fussy

Logic: The Joan Simon Menkes Gift,” featuring 50 works from Menkes’

collection that focuses on artists who mostly came to prominence in

the 1980s. Laguna Art Museum is located at 307 Cliff Drive.

FESTIVAL OF ARTS

California’s Premier Fine Art Exhibition runs through Sunday.

Purchase or admire a variety of original fine art by more than 140

accomplished artists from Orange County. Enjoy complimentary

workshops, art demonstrations, art tours, dining, special wine

tasting, music, education, cultural days and more. Exhibition is free

to Laguna Beach residents. A season pass is $5 for adults, $3 for

seniors and free for children 12 and under. It runs daily from 10

a.m. to 11:30 p.m. The Festival of Arts is at 650 Laguna Canyon Road.

‘HARVEY’ AT LAGUNA PLAYHOUSE

“Harvey” is being presented at Laguna Playhouse through Aug. 31.

Charles Nelson Reilly directs a star-studded cast in this comedy

about a man, his invisible friends and his family who thinks he

should be put away. The playhouse is at 606 Laguna Canyon Road.

FAMILY SING-ALONG

Every fourth Friday of the month from 6 to 9 p.m. No Square

Theatre will have a family sing-along with the renowned musician

Terry Alaric on piano. Show tunes and standards are encouraged for

live piano accompaniment. Participants can bring their own sheet

music or choose from what is provided. No Square Theatre is at 221

Broadway.

A TASTE OF WINE

Wine tasting takes place every Friday from 5 to 9 p.m. at Len’s

Wine Cite. Different wines will be sampled each week. Len’s is at 303

POETRY MEETING

Laguna Poets meet at 8 p.m. Fridays on the third floor of Wells

Fargo Bank at 260 Ocean Ave. Bring poems to this free evening of

poetry sharing and reading.

SATURDAY

SAWDUST ART FESTIVAL

The Sawdust Art Festival is open through Aug. 31. The festival

will have more than 195 local artists displaying and selling their

handcrafted and original items in a village nestled in an eucalyptus

grove. There will be live entertainment, art workshops and

demonstrations, three cafes and a saloon. The Sawdust is at 935

Laguna Canyon Road. Tickets are $6.50 for adults, $5.50 for seniors,

$2 for children 6 to 12 and $12 for a season pass. It will be open

LATIN JAZZ AND DANCING

Romeo Cucina will feature Latin jazz and dancing with Ivan

Marcello and his band. The fun will begin at 8 p.m. Romeo Cucina is

MUSIC IN THE

PARK CONCERT

Music in the Park Inc. and the city of Laguna Beach are presenting

the free summer concert series with “Trailer Park Troubadours” from 5

a.m. to 10 p.m. Visitors are offered the opportunity to view and

acquire art directly from the artist exhibitors. There will be
