Kings clip Wings with strong play, 5-3

Carsten Beith and Tyler Bales each netted two goals and the Kings

picked up a victory in Norris Division play at Coast 2 Coast Inline

Hockey Center in Huntington Beach by downing the Wings, 5-3.

Beith opened and closed the Kings’ scoring, sandwiching Bales’ two

goals and one by Chad Millar.

Millar and Travis Clock each had an assist and Thompson had a pair

of assists.

Kelan Stuart got the win on 37 saves.

Brandon Mohl scored two goals, Alex Litten had a goal and assist

and Charlie Condron had an assist to lead the Wings.

Rory Folsom finished with 30 saves.

In other games:

Roller Rebels 6, Spiders 1

Brandon Weiss scored twice and assisted to other goals for the

Roller Rebels.

The rest of the Roller Rebels’ scoring consisted of goals by

Hunter Nelson, Cody Charnell, Kevin Hetrick and Cameron Weiss.

Hetrick, Weiss, Kevin Christi and Zachary Charnell each had an

assist.

Bryan Paranal recorded 24 saves.

The Spiders avoided a shutout when Jimmy Hocker scored unassisted

in the final period.

Ethan Berg had 37 saves.

Vipers 6, Team Fire 3

Kevin Ewing scored the game’s final three goals as the Vipers

pulled away from Team Fire.

Nelson Kays posted two goals and Matthew Duran had 35 saves.

Robert Oliver, Christian Wildey and Bryan Bennett each scored for

Team Fire and Timothy Francis finished with 31 saves.

Mighty Midgets 7, Young Americans 7

The teams each scored once in an overtime shootout as the match

ended in a tie.

Cody Franks, Spencer Thomas, Nathan Bergeron and Kyle McGeary all

scored and Franks had two assists and McGeary had one to lead the

Mighty Midgets.

Kenny Hutchinson had 36 saves.

Aaron Nguyen scored five of the Young American’s seven goals, the

two others were scored by Timothy Hunt and Marie Leroux.

Nguyen and Evan Zinger each had an assist and Jacob Renaud had 35

saves.
