TUESDAY

* South Coast Highway: A resident reported that a neighbor

upstairs had the TV on too loud in the 2100 block at 11:36 p.m. The

resident speculated that the neighbor might be deaf.

* Tia Juana Street: A resident reported that a child in the

neighborhood screams every night for about 15 or 20 minutes at a time

in the 900 block. Police filed no report.

* Ocean Avenue: A resident reported that a man on a bike stole a

“For Sale” sign from his property in the 400 block at 4:38 p.m.

* Forest Avenue: A police officer reported that a radar gun valued

at $4,500 was stolen from his squad car, which was locked and parked

in front of the police station. Police speculate that the gun was

stolen between 8:15 and 10:45 a.m. Sept. 3.

MONDAY

* South Coast Highway: Police patrolling the 200 block saw a

suspicious man looking into cars’ windows at 4:10 p.m. and found that

the 30-year-old resident had a $50,000 warrant for lewd conduct.

* Pearl Street: A resident reported at 11:13 a.m. that her safe

had ben stolen while she was moving on Sept. 11 in the 600 block and

that she suspected one of her movers.

* Donna Drive: A resident reported that a dead owl with no face

was across the street of the 2000 block near San Remo Drive at 9:21

a.m.

SUNDAY

* South Coast Highway: Police arrested a 50-year-old Huntington

Beach resident on suspicion of being drunk in public after he was

reportedly picking fights with several people on the beach in the

1300 block at 9:58 p.m. The suspect was wearing only shorts and Ugg

boots.

* Ocean Way: A resident reported that three boys and one girl were

throwing eggs and cola on houses and cars in the 2000 block at 8:17

p.m.

* Hillcrest Drive: A resident called police six times reporting

that kids were urinating and defecating in the Riddle Field parking

lot in the 600 block starting at 4:42 p.m.

* Glenneyre Street: A resident reported that a man who looked

“drugged up” had wandered up to the front door asking strange

questions in the 1000 block at 9:01 a.m. Police later arrested a

24-year-old on suspicion of being under the influence of cocaine and

being drunk in public.

SATURDAY

* South Coast Highway: A resident reported that three skimboards

valued at $600 were stolen from his garage in the 32000 block at 2:13

p.m.

SEPT. 12

* Ocean Avenue: An employee of a store in the 200 block reported

that someone bought a pair of sunglasses, broke them and then started

yelling at the storekeeper and telling customers not to shop there at

3:59 p.m.
