Bally’s Total Fitness Health Spa

in South Coast Village will begin offering a new session in senior

fitness training and nutrition. The sessions will take place every

Saturday at 9:15 a.m. The sessions are open to the public and don’t

require a Bally’s membership. The instructor will be personal trainer

Nick Prukop. Dress in casual and comfortable clothing for the

Women Air Force Service Pilots

of World War II will meet at Wingnuts, at 3030 Harbor Blvd., at 11

a.m. The WASPs will be honored for their service in World War II.

There will be 20 former female aviators at the event, some wearing

The Parkinson’s Resource

Organization will host a lecture on outpatient physical therapy at

7 p.m. at the Oasis Senior Center, 800 Marguerite Ave. Corona Del

Mar. The lecture will be given by physical therapist Dennis Mesisca.

“Late Nite Catechism,” an interactive comedy by Vicki Quade and

Maripat Donovan, at 8 p.m. in the Robert B. Moore Theatre at Orange

Coast College. Tickets cost $35, or $75 for preferred seating.

Oasis Senior Center holds a

pancake breakfast from 7:30 to 10 a.m. on the second Saturday of

every month. Breakfast includes pancakes, sausage, coffee and orange

juice for $3, $1 for children. The center is at 800 Marguerite,

Women 50 and older can join a discussion group coordinated by

Jewish Family Services to address issues such as anxiety, depression,

relationships, loneliness and family. The group meets from 10 to

11:30 a.m. Mondays at the agency offices, 250 E. Baker St., Suite G,

The Braille Institute offers free computer classes to people with

fading vision who have difficulty seeing the computer screen. The

Oasis Center at 800 Marguerite Ave., Corona del Mar, offers six

The Costa Mesa Senior Center has ballroom dancing with live music

from the Betty’s Trio from 7:30 to 10:30 p.m. every Tuesday night at

Jewish Family Service of Orange County sponsors an ongoing healing

support group for the chronically ill. The purpose is to provide

participants with emotional and spiritual support to manage illness

and its consequences. The group meets at 7 p.m. Thursdays at the

Jewish Family Service office, 250 E. Baker St., Costa Mesa.

The Coin and Stamp Club meets from 1 to 3 p.m. Mondays at the

Oasis Senior Center. New members interested in trading, buying and

selling stamps and coins are being sought to join these informal
