Moving ahead and learning

The Huntington Beach Independent went to Circle View Elementary

School and asked students in Joyce Stalcup’s fourth-grade class,

‘What are the biggest differences between fourth-grade and

third-grade?’

“The biggest difference is that you have a lot more work to do and

you have to be at school longer and there’s not as much stuff to play

on.”

REID SHANDRICK, 9

“The time changes. We get out of school later and have to wait

longer to eat lunch.”

KYLE WICOREK, 9

“There’s a lot more math and social studies, but it’s fun trying

to learn new things.”

KRISTI SNYDER, 9

“It’s a bigger difference because of the different playground with

different recesses and there’s 10 more kids in the classroom.”

JORDAN KOONTZ, 9

“The math is a lot harder, I love my teacher, P.E.’s a lot better

and I’m meeting a lot of new friends.”

STEVEN SASS, 9
