The Newport-Mesa Unified School District offers menu choices each day

at elementary schools. Students may choose a vegetarian entree. The

selection may include a salad, a sandwich or a hot entree. School

lunches are $2 each. Here’s what’s being served this week:

TODAY

Munchable Lunch Salad with Yoplait Fruit Yogurt or bean burrito,

veggie sticks with ranch dip, raisins, animal crackers and choice of

milk.

WEDNESDAY

Munchable Lunch Salad or galaxy cheese pizza, fresh broccoli with

ranch dip, gala apple, pudding cup and choice of milk.

THURSDAY

Vegetarian Health Sandwich or chicken tenders with ketchup, crisp

green salad with ranch, 100-percent berry fruit juice bar and choice

of milk.

FRIDAY

Munchable Lunch Salad or turkey and gravy with mashed potatoes,

fresh baked whole grain roll, peach’s and choice of milk.

MONDAY

*Munchable Lunch Salad or chicken patty sandwich on a bun with

ketchup, green beans, peaches, and choice of milk.

The Munchable Lunch Salad contains tossed greens, cherry tomatoes,

crackers and protein sources such as cheese, sunflower seeds, fruit

yogurt and honey-roasted peanuts (*peanut butter on selected days).
