Pumping up the Terminator’s coffers

Newport-Mesa financial support for “Arnold” is not a surprise.

We Republicans finally have a real chance of winning the top state

job. However, the battle must continue into removing some

ultra-liberals from the legislature next year . So keep those dollars

coming, Newport-Mesa, as the cause is too great.

The Peter Ueberroth money going to Arnold Schwarzenegger is no big

surprise. I’ve been here for 48 years, and I know this is a

Republican enclave. Even if you weren’t Republican, after what Gov.

Gray Davis has done, who wants him anyways? That’s no big surprise.

This is a Republican territory, and even if it weren’t, who

wouldn’t want Schwarzenegger or any Republican in there? I just hope

that Schwarzenegger does the job that he thinks he can do once he

gets into the milieu of politics, which I don’t think he is that

familiar with. He couldn’t be because he is an actor.

I’m not at all surprised by the show of support for Arnold

Schwarzenegger in Newport-Mesa. In a society that will spend a month

discussing tree removal or a six-inch infringement into a park, both

suddenly display political awareness.

Having lived in this area for more than 30 years, nothing

surprises me anymore. I know the mentality of the people who reside

here. If the Republican Party endorsed a two-headed gorilla, the

party members would vote for him. Well, they got the next best thing

in Arnold Schwarzenegger.

He is uncouth, vulgar, crude, and his humor is at the fifth-grade

level. He enjoys demeaning women. His voice is like scraping chalk on

a blackboard. Of course, his knowledge of running government is vast.

He learned a lot from bodybuilding and making movies. He does not

have the education or the background to qualify him for any

government office, even at the lowest level, no less governor of a

state.

This is just another Republican ploy in trying to buy California.

I guess state Sen. Jim Brulte will be out there with his whip keeping

Republicans in line or he will destroy them politically and/or

financially. Kudos to the Lincoln Club for helping finance this

circus. This is not about issues, this is about power. They couldn’t

care less for the people, it is all about power.
