Curse of the Boo Blast Treasure

Ahoy ye Lads and Lassies ‘tis time again for ye ‘ol Halloween

Carnival at El Morro Elementary School. Come join yer mates and other

Pirates of the Caribbean on Oct. 24 from 2:30 to 7:30 p.m., fer fun,

food, lots o’ games and a haunted pirate ship, if ye dare.

Any scallywags who would like to hop aboard with Stephen Schott,

Prudential Real Estate, Montage, Chicago Title, Nutro Products and

Laguna Lending to help sponsor this PTA fund-raiser can contact

Tracey Williams or Melanie Lewis at (949) 497-7780.

The proceeds from this event will help the PTA provide important

enrichment programs for all of the students at El Morro Elementary

School.

El Morro kicks off fund-raising

El Morro Elementary School will host an assembly to kick off its

fall fund-raiser on Oct. 3.

SpongeBob SquarePants will be the special guest as students are

told of the sale of candy, wrapping paper and gift items from Oct. 3

to 17.

Students are rewarded prizes based on their sales and purchases

will be distributed in November.

Students are told to sell only to their family, friends and

neighbors they know.

Luau, fund-raiser

at St. Catherine’s

St. Catherine’s Catholic school will host a Hawaiian luau family

picnic on Oct. 12.

The picnic will be held from noon to 3 p.m. at Doheney Beach. For

St. Catherine’s annual fund-raiser event “Moonlight in Venice”

will take place Feb. 13 at the Ritz-Carlton in Laguna Niguel.

It will be the school’s fourth annual Mardi Gras gala. The annual

dinner dances are opportunity parents, neighbors and friends to help

raise money to fund extra programs and upgrades to the school. The

last three galas have raised nearly $500,000.
