The Newport-Mesa Unified School District offers menu choices each day

at elementary schools. Students may choose a vegetarian entree. The

selection may include a salad, sandwich or hot entree. School lunches

are $2 each. Here’s what’s being served this week:

TODAY

Munchable Lunch Salad with Yoplait Fruit Yogurt, or teriyaki beef

dippers and rice, baby carrots with ranch dip, applesauce and choice

of milk.

WEDNESDAY

Munchable Lunch Salad, or cheese burger,

lettuce and pickles, 100% fruit juice and choice of milk.

THURSDAY

*Munchable Lunch Salad, or cheeseburger,

lettuce and pickles, 100% juice bar and choice

of milk.

FRIDAY

Munchable Lunch Salad, or pasta with marinara sauce and meatballs,

fresh-baked whole grain roll, crisp green salad, with ranch, golden

delicious apple and choice of milk.

MONDAY

Munchable Lunch Salad, or bean and cheese burrito, baby carrots

with ranch dip, fresh fruit and choice of milk.

The Munchable Lunch Salad contains tossed greens, cherry tomatoes,

crackers and protein sources such as cheese, sunflower seeds, fruit

yogurt and honey-roasted peanuts (*peanut butter on selected days).
