Emily is an 8-year-old Collie Shepherd mix that needs a new home.

Newport Beach resident Diane Geffen’s emotions are sadly torn as an

emergency family situation has forced her to leave the country for

Australia.

Leaving Emily behind, or putting her through an extensive

six-month quarantine, are choices she is being forced to make.

“Emily is a gentle companion, she is the sort of dog that you

could take to out and trust with strangers and children,” she said.

“And she usually brings her toys to bed with her.”
