Willing to serve his community
STEVEN ROSANSKY
As a resident of Newport Beach since 1985 and as a local businessman
and property owner, I am committed to the future of Newport Beach. I
believe that my legal and business background will be an asset to the
city in charting a fiscally and socially responsible future.
Up to this point, I have served the community on several levels.
Currently, I am serving on the Parks, Beaches and Recreation
Commission, where I have vigorously carried out my duties as a
commissioner. I have also been a Boy Scout leader for the past seven
years at the Sea Base on Newport Harbor. I am a graduate of the
Leadership Tomorrow program where I was exposed to many local and
regional issues effecting Newport Beach.
There are important issues facing District No. 2 including the
development of the Banning Ranch, the planning and building of Sunset
Ridge Park, water quality in the harbor, traffic issues on Coast
Highway and the revitalization of the commercial strip in West
Newport. Additionally, the upcoming general plan amendments, the
revisions to the city’s tree policy, the continuing issues with John
Wayne Airport and the growth and vitality of our city will all need
to be addressed.
As a lawyer, real estate broker, restaurant owner and community
leader, I have acquired the skills necessary to help the city with
these important issues. I believe one of a person’s highest callings
in life is to serve others in his community. As a City Council
member, I hope to achieve that goal.
