The Jewish Learning Institute will offer an eight-week course,

“Talmudic Ethics -- Timeless Wisdom for Timely Dilemmas” at Chabad of

West Orange County starting at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday and 9 a.m. on Oct.

30. The course will address contemporary ethical dilemmas, large and

small, from e-mail Spam to the Enron scandal to euthanasia. Come

discover new ways to navigate the moral sea while examining some of

today’s toughest questions in the light of the Torah -- Judaism’s

ethical and moral compass for more than 3000 years. Registration is

Faith Lutheran Church will hold a Fun Family Halloween Festival

from 5 to 8 p.m. at 8200 Ellis Ave. There will be food, games, a moon

The women of Community United Methodist Church will present Gifts

of our Hands, a holiday boutique, from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Items will

include handmade quilted pieces, a church cookbook featuring

family-tested recipes, button novelties, holiday decorations,

handmade jewelry, antiques, baked goods, nuts, canned jams and

jellies. The church, at 6652 Heil Ave., will also offer a Santa’s

Secret Shop where children can buy or make gift items for family and

St. Bonaventure Church will host its 19th annual holiday craft

fair from 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., featuring a large collection of

DEC. 19 to 21

Seaside Community Church will present its annual production of

“The Nazarene.” The musical is a warm historical piece about the

origins of Jesus, his parents Joseph and Mary, and their hometown of

Nazareth. The musical will be directed by Steve Wilber, choreographed

by Mindy Reid. The musical direction will be done by the writer,

The Bat Mitzvah Club helps young Jewish girls learn about life and

helps them build a foundation for their souls. The group meets every
