HISTORY OF HITCHCOCK

Orange Coast College is offering a nine-part film history on

Alfred Hitchcock. The series will be moderated by retired OCC

professor H. Arthur Taussig. Each session will be held at 6:30 p.m.

NEWPORT HARBOR CHRISTMAS BOAT PARADE

Beautifully decorated yachts, boats, kayaks and canoes will sail

along the harbor in the 95th annual Newport Harbor Christmas Boat

p.m. at Collins Island and last two and a half hours. The parade is

‘TERRA NOVA’

“Terra Nova” by Ted Talley will be performed through Nov. 16 with

South Coast Repertory Segerstrom Stage. “Terra Nova” is set in the

winter of 1911-12 as five Englishmen and five Norwegians raced each

‘PAINTINGS OF MEXICO AND JAPAN’

“Paintings of Mexico and Japan” by art professor Howard Hitchcock

will be on display in the Newport Beach Central Library foyer through

Friday. Created after visits south of the border and to the Far East,

the paintings depict colorful cityscapes of life in foreign lands.
