Lucille Messner

A graveside service for Ms. Lucille Messner, a 33-year resident of

Newport Beach, is scheduled at 11 a.m. on Wednesday at Pacific View

Memorial Park in Corona del Mar.

Ms. Messner died on Friday of natural causes. She was 103.

Ms. Messner is survived by her son Robert A. Messner.

Robert J. Gunkel

A memorial service for 38-year Costa Mesa resident Mr. Robert J.

Gunkel is set for 10 a.m. on Wednesday at St. John Vianney Church in

Balboa Island.

Mr. Gunkel died on Saturday. He was 78.

Mr. Gunkel is survived by his son Walter; daughters Elizabeth,

Mary and Adrienne; and four grandchildren.

The memorial service on Wednesday will be followed by burial at

Pacific View Memorial Park in Corona del Mar at 11 a.m.
