Huntington Beach resident Josh Selin has been accepted to the

Universal Technical Institute in Glendale Heights, Ill., to train to

become a professional automotive/diesel technician. Upon graduating,

professional technicians are sought by companies servicing automotive

and truck fleets ... Nicholas Gonzales, son of Steven Gonzales of

Huntington Beach and Karen Pardue of La Crosse, Wis., recently

completed 12 weeks of basic training at the Marine Corps Recruit

Depot in San Diego ... Army Pvt. Steven Church, son of Huntington

Beach resident Bobby Church, recently arrived at Redstone Arsenal in

Alabama to complete the explosive ordnance disposal training course.
