Sharks take bite out of Lazers, 4-0

The Sharks came up with a stingy defensive stance in their Norris

Division encounter with the Lazers and the effort paid off in a 4-0

victory at Coast 2 Coast Inline Hockey Center in Huntington Beach.

Luke Buntich opened and closed out the scoring for the Sharks and

he also had an assist.

Michael Pigors and Aaron Baca-Chavez scored the other two goals.

Camron Garcia and Kayden Muzila each had an assist.

In other Norris games:

Ice Dogs 5, Terminators 3

A four-goal first period propelled the Ice Dogs toward victory.

Brett Vanderham scored two goals and Sam Prizler and Nathaniel

Hughes each scored once during the first quarter scoring spree.

Prizler also scored the Ice Dogs’ final goal and Kyle Hayashida

had two assists.

Brandon Jones recorded 16 saves.

All three Terminator goals were scored in the third period, coming

off the sticks of Justin Williams, Zachary Harriman and Leo Marquez.

Williams and Rachel Dick each had an assist.

Stars 2, Panthers 1

Goals by Ryan Spirovski and Riley Lowe, combined with 17 saves by

Joshua Swafford, lifted the Stars past the Panthers.

Victor Salazar netted the Panthers’ lone goal and Austin Shannon

finished with 20 saves.

Slugs 4, Dragons 1

A 3-0 lead after one period of play helped the Slugs slay the

Dragons.

Troy Baljeu scored twice and Nathan Enright scored once in the

first period.

Ashley Woody scored the Slugs’ final goal and along with Karley

Wester, picked up an assist.

Jonathan Teazis scored unassisted in the third period for the

Slugs.

Big Dogs 3, Flames 2

Corey Sharp’s unassisted goal in the final period got the Big Dogs

past the Flames.

Sean Mastro scored twice for the Big Dogs and David Mastro had 21

saves.

Dylan Zeglovitch scored both Flames goals, one off a Jason

Drechsel assist.
