Mayor’s Award winner named

Lisa Olson is the latest recipient of the Costa Mesa Mayor’s

Award, which recognizes community members who perform outstanding

acts, services or good deeds.

Mayor Gary Monahan chose Olson for her commitment to overseeing

the educational and enrichment programs for students at Christ

Lutheran Church in Costa Mesa. Teachers at the school nominated her

for making a difference in the quality of school programs through her

dedicated service as president of the Parent Teacher League.

Olson will be honored at the Nov. 3 Costa Mesa City Council

meeting. The award presentation will take place in the council

chambers at 6:30 p.m. at City Hall, 77 Fair Drive.
