The next installment of First Thursday Art Walk will take place from

6 to 9 p.m. on Nov. 6.

ART WALK NOV. 6

Join more than 40 galleries throughout Laguna Beach in the first

Thursday of every month for a festive cultural evening from 6 to 9

p.m. Free shuttle service commences from the Laguna Art Museum 6:15

p.m. and runs until 9 p.m. There will be a Special Pre-Event from 5

to 6 p.m. A dedication of Postcards from Laguna Murals (by artists

Ken Auster, Micahel Jacques, Craig Keenan and Mike Kungl) and

Temporary Sculpture Installation “Horse” by David Brunetta at 364

The gallery features artwork by German born resident artist

Joachim Haupt. He is known for the modern abstract mixed-media

technique that he developed called “lacquer foil art” that

incorporates lacquer, gold and silver leaf, acrylic paint, abalone

shells, eggshells and mother of pearl to bring the painting to life.

The gallery also features selective sculptures of internationally

known artists, as well as collectible art. Guest artists, Ronarong

metal sculptures including life-size “Predator.” Hella Haas, and

and Watercolors by Roger Armstrong and Acrylics and Watercolors by

Alice Powell. Armstrong will be presenting a series entiltled “Giant

Landscapes.” These 4 x 5 foot Acrylic paintings are landscapes of

California barns and rural scenes. Powell will be showing watercolors

of seascapes and florals. There will be a Pre-Art Walk party from 4

to 6 p.m. that is open to the public. The two-artist exhibit will be

shown on the second balcony level through November. The gallery is

directed by Fitz Maurice. The Sawdust Festival and Festival of Arts
