Ocean View (2-7, 1-4) vs. Saddleback (3-5, 2-2)

Ocean View is one of three local teams that is suiting up this

week to play its final game of the season.

Saddleback presents the Seahawks one last chance at victory, which

would give Ocean View two wins in the final three weeks of the

season.

The Roadrunners are coming off a 41-14 rout of Santa Ana, a team

Ocean View defeated, 34-33, two weeks ago.

FRIDAY’S GAMES

Edison (6-3, 3-1) vs. Huntington Beach (2-7, 1-3)

Another intra-city rivalry is renewed when the Chargers and Oilers

hook up at Cap Sheue Field.

The equation for Edison is easy: A victory gives the Chargers a

share of the Sunset League championship. Regardless, they are playoff

bound and set themselves up for a portion of the crown by handling

rival Fountain Valley last week, 22-8. Defense paved the way in the

triumph, as it has for much of the season: in nine games, the Charger

stop unit has held six opponents to a single touchdown, and shut out

another.

Edison has reeled off three straight victories since dropping a

28-21 decision to Los Alamitos in the opening week of Sunset play.

Huntington, meanwhile, is coming off a 27-7 loss to Marina in

another intra-city rivalry game. The Oilers saw their postseason

hopes dashed in the loss, but can play the role of spoiler here.

Marina gained some momentum for this game by handling Huntington

Beach last week but closes out what has been a monstrous 2003

schedule by playing yet another highly-touted opponent in Los

Alamitos.

Los Alamitos moved to within a game of clinching another league

title when it routed rival Esperanza last week, 28-3. A victory

against the Vikings Friday would give the defending champion Griffins

no less than a tie for the Sunset championship.
