ON THE AGENDA

Here are some of the items the school board will be discussing

tonight.

STATE REVIEW HIGHLIGHTS

A Coordinated Compliance State Review team from the California

Board of Education visited Wilson Elementary School, TeWinkle

Intermediate School, Estancia High School, Harper Preschool and the

Adult Education program earlier this month. They observed different

programs that receive state and federal funding to ensure they comply

with the conditions set for the schools to receive the money. The

reviewers complimented the schools and found only one program, the

School Sight Council at TeWinkle, not in compliance because it had

the wrong ratio of students to parents.

WHAT TO EXPECT

The board will review the team’s report and findings and recognize

those who helped prepare for the inspection.

MEASURE A QUARTERLY REPORT

The Measure A Citizens’ Oversight Committee and Measure A Project

Management Team will present reports about the progress of

construction work being done under the $110-million

school-improvement bond. The reports will cover what has been done

through the third quarter, which ended Sept. 30, and preview plans

for the fourth quarter.

The Division of the State Architect has approved plans for Group

Two schools Wilson, Davis, Killybrooke, Sonora and College Park

elementary schools, TeWinkle Intermediate School and Costa Mesa High

School, the project manager’s report says.

The project’s expenditures to date, according to the report, are

more than $30 million.

WHAT TO EXPECT

The Oversight Committee and the Project Management Team will

present their reports on the progress of the massive construction

project.
