Newport wants airport under its wing

My opinion is to retain the county of Orange as the manager and

administrator of the John Wayne Airport. Having the city of Newport

Beach “take over” these operational and financial obligations could

burden the residents with some severe financial obligations.

Having the county continue their management, the costs would be

shared by all the residents of Orange County.

The county organizations running the airport have all the

qualified personnel, the experience of management and the allocation

of funds from airport operations.

I read that Newport Beach is also considering taking over all

operations of the Newport Harbor. Again, the Orange County Sheriff’s

Department, and fire department are professionally qualified to

continue as managers of all operations.
