Huntington Beach Girls’ Softball signups Saturday

Huntington Beach Girls’ Softball will hold a signup session

Saturday for its 2004 spring season.

The signup will be held at Circle View School, located at 6261

Hooker St., and will run between 9 a.m. and 1 p.m.

The league is fielding teams in the 6-, 8-, 10-, 12- and

14-and-under divisions. Youngsters must be at least 5 years old by

Jan. 1, 2004 to be eligible to compete in the 6-and-under Division.

Fees for each division are as follows: 6-and-under, $75;

8-and-under, $90; 10- and 12-and-Under, $100; 14-and-under, $105.

Fees include the coverage of uniform, insurance, trophy, pictures

and a season yearbook.

Future registration dates include Dec. 14 and Jan. 10.

Ocean View Little League signups set for Saturday

Ocean View Little League will hold its third and final

registration for its 2004 spring season Saturday at the league’s

playing fields.

The signup will take place between 9 a.m. and 1 p.m. Eligible

players must be between the ages of 5 and 14 as of July 31, 2004, and

live within the league’s boundaries

Players are required to bring an original birth certificate and

utility bill with home address printed on it to verify residency.

Fees are $100 for T-Ball and $125 for Little League, in addition

to a mandatory $25 opening day barbecue fundraiser.

Winter session is set for foundation water polo

Huntington Beach Water Polo Foundation is forming teams for its

upcoming winter session.

The session began Monday and runs through Feb. 13, 2004. The

foundation will fill teams for both boys and girls in the 10-, 12-

and 14-and-under age groups.

In addition, two high school boys’ teams are being formed for the

16- and 18-and-under divisions.

Tryouts for the two high school division teams will take place

Dec. 1.

Practices will be held at the Huntington Beach High School

Aquatics Center, located on the Huntington Beach campus at 1905 Main

St.
