Hawks outlast Blades

Weston Bales netted five goals and the Hawks scored a victory in

Lemieux Division play at Coast 2 Coast Inline Hockey Center in

Huntington Beach by defeating the Blades, 9-5.

Also getting into the scoring act for the Hawks were Michael

Mendoza, Tyler Dinley, Brett Martin and Mark Miller.

Martin also had two assists and Mendoza and Chad Romers each had

one.

Jaryd Mason finished with 35 saves.

Chris Jones scored a hat trick for the Blades, while Ricky Olson

and Kyle Moreno each scored once.

Harry Graves had three assists and Olson picked up two.

In other Lemieux Division games:

Extreme 8, Avalanche 5

David Lachman scored four goals and assisted on three others while

Kevin Lachman scored twice with a pair of assists to pace the

Extreme.

Steve Tess completed the Extreme’s scoring with two goals, Colby

Kasubuchi had three assists and Kyle Landon had one assist.

Aman Virk got the win on 24 saves.

Joshua Hackworth’s two goals led the Avalanche. James Dufour had a

goal and assist, Troy Weis scored a goal and Jesse Morrill and Danny

Gandasetiawan each had an assist.

Thunder 11, Doesn’t Matter 3

A six-goal first quarter, combined with a shutout by the defense

in the first two periods, set the tone for the Thunder.

A potent offense saw Sam Robinson, Tanner Marsey and Ryan Schwabe

each score three goals and Ryan Morgan score twice.

Marsey and Morgan each had two assists and Robinson and

Christopher Maurer each had one assist.

For Doesn’t Matter, Adam Daley and Jeremy Miller each had a goal

and assist, Jeremy Estrada scored once and Mike Gonzalez had an

assist.
