Avalanche edge out Raw Steal

Dylan Zeglovitch posted three goals and assisted two other scores to

lead the Avalanche in their 8-7 victory over Raw Steel in an Atom

Division game at Coast 2 Coast Inline Hockey Center in Huntington

Beach.

Harry Ellis and Ryan Humphrey each scored twice, Mike Pigors

scored once with an assist and Ellis had an assist.

Ryan Voorhies recorded 19 saves.

Raw Steel’s Travis Bertrand led all scorers with five goals.

Sean Mastro and Matt Oyakawa each scored once and Kevin Bauman

finished with 18 saves.

In other Atom Division action:

Red Army 11, HB Roadrunners 2

The Red Army scored seven first period goals in skating past the

HB Roadrunners.

Kyle Christi led the winners with five goals and three assists.

Teammate Coby Downs scored four goals and added an assist, Ryan

Schlerf scored twice and had four assists and Kevin Morisako had four

assists.

Kevin Baker scored both HB Roadrunner goals.

In Howe Division play:

Riptide 2, Diablos 1

Zachary Malloy and Pucky Cruz each posted goals and Nicholas

Jezulin had 13 saves to pace the Riptide.

Nolan Herzog scored for the Diablos and Timothy Francis had 24

saves.

Kings 5, Pythons 1

Max Olin scored twice, Troy Bundy scored once with an assist, Kyle

Schneider and Brett Morinaka each had a goal, Michael Diaz and Alec

Schartner each had an assist and Andrew Skowron finished with 15

saves for the Kings.

Collin Switzer scored for the Pythons.

Roller Dogs 7, Red Lazers 2

The Roller Dogs blew open a one-point match by scoring six goals

over the final two periods.

Sarah Aguayo’s three goals and assist led the scoring, with Brad

Giczewski scoring twice with two assists, George Zuniga getting a

goal and three assists and Amanda Case scoring once with an assist.

Eric Aguayo had 10 saves.

The Red Lazers scoring consisted of goals by Jeffrey Wong and

Tyler Allen and an assist by Nick Irwin.

OC Crush 8, Blades 2

Brandon Corral’s three goals led an OC Crush charge that saw Cole

Thormodsgaard score twice and Cameron Nagai and Jason Sarna each get

a goal and assist.

Daniel Ane recorded 19 saves.

Cameron Berkenkamp scored for the Blades and Drake Dwyer had 19

saves.

Sharks 8, Chaos 1

Corey Jones, Ian Arnold and Brandon Drochner each scored two goals

to power the Sharks.

Tony McConnell and Conor Dunlea also scored and Matt Bodziak had

17 saves.

Steve Thomasek scored off a Garrett Blackwell feed for the Chaos.
