County Republican club takes a rare stance

The Lincoln Club of Orange County made a rare move Friday, voting

to endorse Rep. Dana Rohrabacher over former Congressman Bob Dornan,

who is challenging the incumbent in the March 2 primary.

An official with the Lincoln Club said a primary endorsement is

unusual and has only been given a handful of times in the club’s

42-year history.

Dornan, a fiery right-wing radio talk show host, surprised local

Republicans last month when he filed papers to run against

Rohrabacher, who has held a seat in Congress since 1988. After losing

his seat to Loretta Sanchez and failing in a 1998 rematch, Dornan has

been out of the political arena.

public. For more information, call (510) 410-4186 or visit https://www.vdayuci.com.
