CdM stars start well

The Corona del Mar boys under-12 silver all-stars shut out their

first two opponents Jan. 10 to open the AYSO Region 57 soccer season.

CdM moved into first place with a 3-0 win over Yorba Linda and a 4-0

triumph against North Irvine.

Zach Socoloske, Austin Barvin and Jeremy Bowinkel each scored

goals against Yorba Linda.

Allen Brown, Barvin, Sandon Griffin and Alex Mainthow all scored

against North Irvine. Harrison Rolfes and Zack Morrison had assists.

Defenders Marc Harnen, Neil Baker, Austin Allen, T.J. Danner,

Andrew Iverson and goalkeeper Ali Sadri also contributed to the win.

Adult passing leagues forming in Costa Mesa

* FOOTBALL: Players are needed for five-man, all-passing football

leagues in Costa Mesa.

Evening and weekend leagues begin play later this month.

Players must be at least 18 and those interested may register by

Teams that qualify for the playoffs will compete against teams

from Garden Grove, Laguna Hills, Orange and Westminster.
