The fun aspect of science

The Laguna Beach Coastline Pilot went to El Morro Elementary School

and asked third-graders in Paula Pitts’ class studying science the

question, ‘What do you like about science?’

“It’s fun because you get to do stuff you don’t usually get to

do.”

TORI ROGERS, 8

“I like that you can learn a lot from it and it’s fun. Last time

we grew plants and dried out seeds. Science is fun too, you get to do

a lot of tests.”

MADISON LAMB 9

“I like the experiments we do. I liked the plants like when we

planted our brassica.”

SEVANA DVORAK 8

“Getting to make stuff, add stuff, making chemicals that no one

has really made. It’s just really fun.”

STONE RIFF 9

“I like to experiment with chemicals and balance stuff out with

the balance -- and then I like to experiment with wind.”
