Rockets roll down Rink Rats, 5-0

The Rockets got off to a quick start and their defense took over from

there, as they posted a 5-0 shutout victory over the Rink Rats in

Adams Division play at Coast 2 Coast Inline Hockey Center in

Huntington Beach.

A 3-0 first quarter got the Rockets rolling, as Maxwell Votaw,

Andrew Haley and Luke Winstead all scored and Brandon Wade picked up

an assist.

Winstead and Jimmy Duff each scored over the final two quarters,

each goal assisted by Votaw.

Paul Studer had 14 saves for the Rockets.

In other games:

Blasters 4, Slugs 0

Lukas Welinder got the shutout on 13 saves and David Ramos scored

all four goals -- each unassisted -- for the Blasters.

Ramos scored a pair of goals in each of the first and third

periods.

X-Men 3, Kings 2

Gabrielle Dibb’s third period goal -- off and Evelyn Weaver feed

-- proved to be the difference in the game for the X-Men.

Tanner Osterkamp scored the X-Men’s first two goals and

Christopher Boyd had eight saves.

Tyler Gealy and Moe Sarna scored for the Kings.

Mighty Ducks 2, Red Rhinos 0

Alex Kao and Christopher Kao each scored unassisted goals as the

Mighty Ducks posted the division’s third shutout of the night.
