Warriors cruise to victory

The Warriors won for the sixth time in eight outings in North

Huntington Beach National Junior Basketball play by defeating the

Avalanche, 55-22, in a Division 3 game.

Tucker Piluka scored a game-high 21 points, which included a pair

of three-point baskets.

Tyler Hammock led the Warriors in the rebounding department with

11 and also scored four points.

Zachary Gates hit double figures in scoring with 11 points and

added seven rebounds, Peter Russo scored five points, Andrew Bogard

and Brett Bonnani each scored four points, Jake Wilson hit a basket,

Jonathan Lai has six rebounds and Michael Meagher had a rebound and

steal for the Warriors.

Division 1

Team 3 40, Team 1 35

Team 3 overcame a slow start to outscore Team 3, 28-11, over the

second and third quarters, to record the win.

Kekai Kamai scored 11 points to lead Team 3, Reed Thomas scored

eight points, Jimmy Fay and Keaton Celinder each scored six points,

Aaron Class and James Hensley each scored four points and Chris

Czerniachowski and Bijan Nafison led the team defensively.

Division 2

Fastbreak 25, Terminators 17

Allison McCoy scored eight points and added five rebounds as the

Fastbreak defeated the Terminators for the second time this year.

Kelsea Hann had a team-high six rebounds and scored five points.

Jodi Hwang scored five points with three steals and a pair of

assists, Alexandra Goodman had four points and two rebounds, Devyn

Bisson scored three points with three steals and two rebounds, and

Paige Bisson had five rebounds and three steals..
