Poloists move up in Division II rankings

The Laguna Beach High girls’ water polo team ended its regular season

ranked sixth in the latest CIF Southern Section Division II poll.

The Breakers moved up on spot from last week’s rankings.

The poll once again was headed by Laguna’s Pacific Coast League

rival, Corona del Mar.

Taking the biggest tumble in the poll was Villa Park, which fell

from second to eighth place.

The Laguna boys’ basketball team again drew votes in the Division

IV-AA polling but missed a top 10 spot.

The Division II top 10 girls’ water polo rankings are as follows:

1. Corona del Mar; 2. Peninsula; 3. El Dorado; 4. Troy; 5. Canyon; 6.

Laguna Beach; 7. University; 8. Villa Park; 9. Katella; 10. Savanna.
