The annual Cabaret! will be presented by the Edison High School

Vocal Music Department. The show will feature 1960s-era music

originally performed by acts like the Beatles and Sonny and Cher. The

show will begin at 7 p.m. in the Edison High School Cafetorium.

Red Nights is a monthly event at the Hyatt Regency Resort and

Spa. The Red Nights, in the Red Chair Lounge, will present a musical

performance by jazz duo Stone Light, and an art display by local

artist Nathan Spoor. The event will be held from 6:30 to 9:30 p.m.

Luminous Painting: Contemporary Egg Tempura is an art exhibit

showcasing the early Renaissance technique of mixing egg yolk with

dry paint. The exhibit is open Mondays through Thursdays from 10 a.m.

to 2 p.m. It is also open Tuesday and Wednesday evenings from 5 to 8

p.m. The artwork will be displayed at the Gallery at Golden West

College, at 15744 Goldenwest St. The show will be held through March

Tickets are now on sale for the Taste of Huntington Beach, a

benefit featuring food from local restaurants. Ticket sales will be

donated to the Huntington Beach Children’s Library. Guests who order

tickets in advance will be able to pay $40 instead of the $50 door

price. Tickets can be purchased at the reception desk at the Central

Library located at 7111 Talbert Ave. The event will be held on March

Mardi Gras Brazilian Carnival, a musical stage show with

Christiane Calli and the Girls from Ipanema, will offer dancing and a

barbecue kitchen. The carnival will run from 8 p.m. to 1:30 a.m. at

Old World Village, 7561 Center Ave. The event will also be held on

Sts. Simon and Jude Catholic Church will begin a series of

discussions on “The Passion of the Christ,” directed by Mel Gibson.

The talks will feature Christian and Jewish leaders as speakers. An

additional session is planned for March 12. The discussions will
