Kubisak-Smith

Thomas and Debra Kubisak of Laguna Beach have announced the

engagement of their daughter Valerie Jeanne, a 2000 graduate of

Laguna Beach High School, to Brandon Delwyn Smith.

Smith is the son of Delwyn and Rochelle Smith of Oroville, Calif.

In May Kubisak will graduate from Vanguard University with a

degree in mathematics. After graduation she will continue her

education to earn a teaching credential and master’s degree in

English.

Smith is a 2003 graduate of Vanguard University. He earned a

degree in mathematics. He is pursuing his master’s degree in

mathematics at Cal State Fullerton while teaching math there and at

Vanguard.

The couple will marry on Dec. 18.

Hill-Falk

John and Alice Hill, of Laguna Beach, have announced the

engagement of their daughter Peggy Hill to Kent Falk, son of Don and

Sharon Batton of Halsey, Ore.

Hill is a 1986 graduate of Laguna Beach High School and a 1990

graduate of Oregon State University. She is employed by Shaw

Industries in Eugene, Ore. Kent is employed by Delta Sand and Gravel

in the construction division.

The wedding is set for Aug. 28 at Hinman Vineyard in Eugene, Ore.
