An exhibition of oil, encaustic and acrylic paintings by Marsh

‘LATE NITE CATECHISM’

Laguna Playhouse extends again the international hit comedy

sensation “Late Nite Catechism” due to its continued sell-out

OUR TOWN IN

THE EARLY 1900s

“Greetings from Laguna Beach: Our Town in the Early 1900s” at the

Laguna Art Museum will feature paintings, photographs and memorabilia

that chronicle life in Laguna Beach circa 1900 to 1930. The exhibit

includes works by William Wendt, Joseph Kleitsch, Clarence Hinkle,

Edgar Payne and Anna Hills. In 1910, Laguna’s population was around

300 and many of its residents were writers, artists and musicians --

much like today. Featuring many of Laguna Beach’s landmarks, past and

present, it’s a vivid history of Laguna Beach. Laguna Art Museum is

A TASTE OF WINE

38TH ANNUAL LAGUNA BEACH PATRIOTS’ DAY PARADE

The theme of this year’s parade is “Freedom is Not Free.” The

parade will begin at Laguna Beach High School and proceed south on

Park Avenue, then west on Glenneyre Street and finally north on

Forest Avenue ending at City Hall. The parade will begin at 11 a.m.

SURFRIDER BENEFIT

The first of three planned concerts to benefit the Laguna Beach

and San Clemente chapters of the Surfrider Foundation will be held at

the Neighborhood Congregational Church. Alec Bridges, Mike Baas,

ART WALK ACTIVITIES AT LAGUNA ART MUSEUM

Laguna Art Museum is having “Sketching in the Galleries” from 6 to

8 p.m. through Feb. 5. Participants can sketch in the museum’s

galleries working from the three-dimensional ceramics on view. An

artist from the Laguna College of Art and Design will lead this

informal sketching group. Material provided and all ability levels

welcome. The museum will also host “Artists in Action” from 6 to 8
