Junior Brittany Fullen and sophomore Camille Hewko shared the Most

Valuable Player honor for the Pacific Coast League, as all seven

Corona del Mar High girls water polo starters were voted all-league

by the circuit’s coaches.

Fullen, a 6-foot-1 goalie who was a team captain, had 280 saves,

while Hewko, a two-meter player, scored 41 goals, helping lead the

Sea Kings to the PCL championship. Corona del Mar has won or shared

the league title for the past five years, including three straight

outright titles. The Sea Kings have also won three straight CIF

Southern Section crowns.

Seniors Katya Eadington and Vivian Liao, along with junior Jordan

Anae, earned first-team all-league laurels, while senior Amy Strack

and junior Katlin Kubas garnered second-team recognition.

Eadington, a senior driver and a team captain, led Coach Aaron

Chaney’s Sea Kings (22-9) with 60 goals, while Liao, also a team

captain, added 43 goals. Anae, who also played at two meters, scored

41 goals.

Kubas contributed 38 goals, while Strack provided leadership and

also supported on offense with her solid passing.

This is the second all-league honor for Hewko, Fullen and Liao.

Last year, Hewko was a first-team all-league honoree.
