Tim Miller at LAM March 19 and 20

Tim Miller will return to Laguna Art Museum on March 19 and 20

with his new performance “Us,” a powerful, funny and moving new work

by the internationally acclaimed solo performer.

This is Miller’s third appearance at Laguna Art Museum.

Hailed for its humor and passion, Miller’s solo theater works have

delighted and emboldened audiences all over the world at such

prestigious venues as Yale Repertory Theatre, the Institute of

Contemporary Art (London), the Walker Art Center (Minneapolis) and

the Brooklyn Academy of Music. Both performances will begin at 8 p.m.

World premiere of ‘Cut’ at Playhouse

The Laguna Playhouse Theatre for a New Generation program will

present the world premiere of “Cut.” Adapted and directed by Laguna

Playhouse Youth Theatre director Joe Lauderdale from the acclaimed

book by Patricia McCormick, “Cut” is the fourth offering in a series

of issue-oriented plays for teens and their parents.

The play is recommended for ages 13 and older. Following each

performance, there will be a question and answer session with

Lauderdale, the cast and an area therapist who is experienced in

working with self-injuring teens. McCormick will attend opening

night.

Performances will be at 7:30 p.m. March 19; 2 and 7:30 p.m. March

20; and March 21, 1 and 5 p.m. Tickets are $19 for adults and $16 for

13th Sawdust studio tour April 4 and 5

The Sawdust Art Festival will offer the public the chance to

explore more than 50 artists’ studios in Laguna Beach on April 4 and

5. Tour-goers will take an up-close and personal visit to the homes

and studios of the artists who live and work here.

The Sawdust Festival Art Studio Tour will be from 10 a.m. to 4

p.m. with the reception following until 6 p.m. Sunday’s tour is 10

a.m. to 3 p.m. with the reception until 5 p.m. Prices are $65 for a

weekend pass (both days of tours and both receptions); $45 for a

single day pass (one day of tours and same-day reception); or $40 for

Open psychic forum at Chakra Shack

Starting Monday from 7 to 9 p.m., there will be an open psychic

forum at the Chakra Shack by Scottish psychic Diana Spears. This

month the subject will be Turning Sawdust into Gold and is about how

one’s emotions can intensify one’s manifestation powers. The cost is

$25 in advance or $30 at the door. The Chakra Shack is at 384 Forest
