CdM defeats TeWinkle

Alfie Nowak, Brian Schiefer, Bryan Yasukochi and Mikey Katz each

scored goals in the shootout and Zak Maurer-Erickson stopped two of

five TeWinkle shots to preserve the win for the Corona del Mar

seventh-grade soccer team.

The teams dueled to a 2-2 tie at the end of regulation.

Joey Cooper, Alec Wilson, Taylor Stone, Kendall Pick, Alex May,

Chris Alaghband, Tommy Bangert, Miles Kellerman and Karan Sahni each

contributed to the victory.

In AYSO Region 57 girls under-10 action:

* Deja Blue defeated the Pink Panthers for its first win this

spring.

Annabel Pidgeon scored two goals while Caroline Strom added one

goal. Camila Gilbert tallied an assist.

Sara Machoskie, Natasha Daboub and Taylor Wolf provided strong

defense along with goalkeepers Jana Rosenberg and Keaton Bassler.

In girls under-14 play:

* CdM 2, Aliso Viejo 0:

Gelyne Prow and Tierney Danner each scored goals to lead the CdM

Silver Select team to the shutout.

Shaye Bastien and Megal Gaal each added assists while Michelle

Zucker and Prow shared goaltending duties.
