Inc., a public relations and marketing communications firm based in

Tustin. Pappas is managing public relations accounts, which primarily

Charles Stein of Newport Beach, a junior at Reed College in Portland,

Ore., is studying at the Intercollegiate Center for Classical Studies

in Rome for the spring semester ... Alexandra Svadjian, a student at

Corona del Mar High School, participated in Presidential Classroom

Law and Justice, a democracy program in Washington, D.C. Svadjian,

along with more than 250 other high school juniors and seniors from

37 states, the District of Columbia, Puerto Rico and the Bahamas,

explored the federal government at work. She was able to participate

in seminars that featured Kenneth Starr, former independent counsel

in the Whitewater Investigation, Senate Republican Leader Christopher

Shays and William K. Suter, clerk of the U.S. Supreme Court ... Zoe

Kimberly T. Barrett, Benjamin T. Blush, Dawn L. Bricker, Danielle C.

Lindsay B. Dobbs, Stephanie A. Fischer, Kathryn, E. Fowler, Branden

D. Frankel, David L. Freitas, Julie M. Geier, Jonathan E. Herrick,

Christine M. Heston, Allegra S. Horioka, Amy M. Kadar, John A. Kelly,

Amanda N. Knost and Ayaka Kothari, all from Newport Beach, were named

to the Orange Coast College honors list for the fall semester of

2003. The students were able to maintain a grade-point average of

3.75 to 4.0 ... Navy Petty Officer 3rd Class Stephen E. Rodriguez, a

2000 graduate of Estancia High School, returned from a routine,

scheduled deployment while assigned to the aircraft carrier

Enterprise, home ported in Norfolk, Va. During the deployment,

Rodriguez’s unit spent most of its time in the Arabian Gulf.
