Eagles sweep Lions

The Estancia High boys and girls swimming teams remained unbeaten

this season, as both posted wins over visiting Westminster Wednesday,

in a Golden West League meet.

The Estancia boys won, 88-80. Phil Collier and Chad Kunert each

won two individual events to lead the Eagles (5-0, 2-0 in league).

Collier’s winning 100-yard freestyle time (55.25) was a personal

record, while Kunert had a PR of 5:17.66 to win the 500 free.

The Estancia girls won 118-53. Senior Britta Pitti also remained

undefeated in the 500-yard freestyle (6:38.21), winning for the fifth

straight time for the Eagles (5-0, 2-0 in league).

Marilyn Reich won two events (200 individual medley and 100

breaststroke), while Courtney Hess (200 free) and Melissa Buchman

(100 backstroke) were also winners.
