* Balboa Avenue: A tile saw valued at $1,500 was reported stolen

overnight at 8:47 a.m.

* Lombardy Lane: A man reported a neighbor was cursing in front of

children in the 600 block at 7:56 p.m.

* Myrtle Street: A woman reported her son took her vehicle and

would not return it in the 300 block at 2:20 p.m.

* Park Avenue: A disturbance was reported in the high school in

the 600 block at 2:11 p.m.

SUNDAY

* Moss Street: A burglary was reported in the 200 block at 3:09

p.m.

* Ocean Avenue: A sculpture valued at $15,000 was reported stolen

from a store in the 200 block at 1:52 p.m.

* Rico Road: A diamond valued at $50,000 was reported stolen in

the 22100 block at 10:31 p.m.

* Summit Way: A man reported a woman hit his friend tin the 1000

block at 9:01 a.m.

SATURDAY

* Beverly Street and North Coast Highway: A man was arrested on

suspicion of possession of marijuana for sale after a traffic stop at

1:14 a.m. Earlier, another man in the same vehicle was cited on

suspicion of possession of less than one ounce of marijuana at 11:52

p.m. Friday.

* Broadway: Three men were arrested on suspicion of being drunk in

public at a bus depot in the 300 block at 8:32 p.m.

* Ocean Avenue: Police received a report that a man claiming to be

a parking attendant was telling customers to pay parking fees to him

in the 200 block at 8:17 p.m.

* Park Avenue: A woman who was reportedly bleeding from the head,

flagged down a man for help and told him another man hit her with a

stick in the 500 block at 8:41 p.m.

* South Coast Highway: A person who was reportedly kicked out of a

club for using a fake ID allegedly keyed the car belonging to the

person who reported him in the 1400 block at 1:40 a.m.

* South Coast Highway: Several people were reported getting ready

to put a lifeguard stand in a bonfire at 8:51 p.m. The same people

had already put a trash can in the fire.

FRIDAY

* Cliff Drive: A family that was reportedly taking marine life

from a tide pool below Monument Point was told by lifeguards to

return what they had taken in the 400 block at 4:05 p.m.

* Poplar Street: A man and a woman were reported having a heated

argument over a parking space in the 400 block at 9:49 p.m.

* Skyline Drive: A man reported his ex-girlfriend’s father

threatened him and said he would break his neck in the 1200 block at

4:02 p.m.

* South Coast Highway: Police received a report that a squirrel

might attack children at a playground at the beach in the 31100 block

at 11:20 a.m.

* South Coast Highway: A woman reportedly tried to use a fake

traveler’s check in the 700 block at 4:42 p.m.
