ART OF ALFRED HITCHCOCK

Orange Coast College is offering a nine-part film history on

Alfred Hitchcock. Each session will be held at 6:30 p.m. one Friday

each month through June 4. The events will be held at OCC’s Fine Arts

FILM FESTIVAL

The Newport Beach Film Festival will display more than 300

features, short films, documentaries and animation from more than 45

countries. The festival will also host several galas, seminars, and

question-and-answer sessions with filmmakers. The event will be from

April 15 through 25 at Edwards Island Cinemas, Lido Theater, Edwards

PHILHARMONIC ORCHESTRA

The Los Angeles Philharmonic Orchestra will perform at 3 p.m.

today in Segerstrom Hall at the Orange County Performing Arts Center,

No. 7, the “Leningrad” by Dmitri Shostakovich and the Dharma at Big

CABARET BY THE BAY

Duke’s Place will host Cabaret by the Bay to benefit local

charities at 9 p.m. with a pre-show dinner in the First Cabin

SPRING FESTIVAL CONCERT

Santiago Canyon College’s California Master Chorale and Concordia

University’s Chorale will perform a wide array of music selections

including the West Coast premiere of John Rutter’s “Mass of the

Children,” at 7 p.m. April 18 at St. Andrew’s Presbyterian Church,

600 St. Andrews Road, Newport Beach. The program will also include

solos by tenor Jonathan Mack and soprano Katharine Terray of the Los
