Huntington Beach resident Grant Caterina has been selected to

spend the spring semester in Florence, Italy through Syracuse

University’s Division of International Programs Abroad. Students in

the program can study subjects like art history, Italian and

architecture. Caterina is a history student at the University of

Southern California ... Wells Fargo & Co. has named Huntington Beach

resident Thomas Booker as head of its Los Angeles Metro Business

Banking Division, which serves small businesses in Los Angeles,

Ventura and Santa Barbara counties. Booker will be responsible for

managing and directing the sales, relationship management, business

development, marketing and training functions in the area, which is

comprised of more than 100 business banking professionals ... The

Boys & Girls Clubs of Huntington Valley have presented several awards

to community members who served the club in 2003. Huntington Beach

resident Mike Haynes received the Man and Youth Award for his

leadership and service. He was also awarded the National Service to

Youth Award for five to nine years in the club. Tanya Hoxsie of

Huntington Beach, the club’s chief executive, was awarded the

National Professional Service Award. Huntington Beach resident

Shirley Detloff was awarded the National Service to Youth Award for 5

to 9 years. Donna Gray and Brian Bassaline of Huntington Beach won

the award for 10 to 14 years of service. Bob Hoxsie, John Maruska and

Tom Ross were recognized for 15 to 19 years of service.
