Hurley Girlies cruise past Teal Angels

The Hurley Girlies pieced together their best offensive game of the

season against the Teal Angels, and it yielded a 19-0 victory in

South Huntington Beach Fast Pitch Softball 8-and-under Division play.

Karly Tahti had three hits including her second homerun of the

season. Jessica Luke went three for three with two doubles and a

single. Logan Vournas had two hits including her first homerun of the

season and Bella Secaira had two hits including an RBI on her fifth

home run of the season.

Melanie Coyne, Emily Long and Melissa Martin each had an RBI

double and other hits came from Lilly Dudrey, Kaelin Liccardo,

Stephanie Louie and Jaqui Pascual.

Tahti and Secaira combined to strike out 10 Teal Angels.

Spring Under-14 Division

HB Crush 4, Region 117 0

HB Crush, out of Region 56, notched another shutout victory, this

one at the expense of Region 117.

In the first period, Erika Longoria opened up the scoring off an

assist from Rachel Pasternak. In the second half, Kristy Verone

scored off a goalie deflection, followed by Jessica Ross’ goal off

Haley Townsend’s assist fir a 3-0 lead.

Townsend made the final goal for the Crush ,with Jessica Ross

assisting.

Alison Hensley, Ali Budd, George Demes, Kirsten Marony, Lily

Khosroupour and Breanne Justice added contributions to the victory

and Melody Sainz recorded another shutout in goal.
