Newport’s Academic All-Stars

They’ve helped salve your wounds at Hoag Hospital.

They’ve coached your children’s sports teams.

They play in orchestras, act in plays and run their student

governments.

And, likely, they don’t know that report cards can come with

letters other than A.

They are this year’s best of the academic best from Corona del Mar

and Newport Harbor high schools.

This morning, the 30 seniors will be honored at an annual

breakfast put on by the Newport Beach Chamber of Commerce.

What they do next is anybody’s guess. But, judging by what they’ve

done so far, those guesses should start at “something incredible.”
