The Newport-Mesa Unified School District offers menu choices each day

at elementary schools. Students may choose a vegetarian entree if

desired. The selection varies and may be either a salad, sandwich or

hot entree. School lunches are $2 each. Here’s what’s being served

this week:

TODAY

Munchable lunch salad lunch with Dannon fruit yogurt or two

pepperoni pizzatas, crisp green salad with ranch, diced peaches and

choice of milk.

WEDNESDAY

*Munchable lunch salad or Foster Farms corn dog, potato wedges,

applesauce and choice of milk.

THURSDAY

Munchable lunch salad or turkey and gravy mashed potatoes, fresh

baked whole grain roll, diced mixed fruit and choice of milk.

FRIDAY

Munchable lunch salad or bean and cheese burrito, zucchini sticks

with ranch dip, fruit turnover and choice of milk.

MONDAY

Munchable lunch salad or chicken nuggets, baby carrots with ranch

dip, applesauce, animal crackers and choice of milk.

The Munchable lunch salad contains tossed greens, cherry tomatoes,

crackers and protein sources such as cheese, sunflower seeds, fruit

yogurt and honey-roasted peanuts.

(*peanut butter on selected days)

Papa John’s Pizza is served one day a week with vegetable, fruit

and milk at each school in place of the regular menu.

TUESDAY

Andersen, California, Eastbluff, Rea & Sonora.

WEDNESDAY

Mariner’s, Victoria and Wilson.

THURSDAY

Adams, Killybrooke, Newport Coast, Newport Heights and Pomona.

FRIDAY

Lincoln, Paularino, Whittier and Woodland.
