Hurley Girls beat out Surfin Turtles

The pitching of Karly Tahti and Bella Secaira keyed the Hurley Girls’

8-0 shutout of the Surfin Turtles in Huntington Beach Girls Softball

action.

Tahti struck out five and also doubled and singled on offense.

Secaira struck out five in relief and also knocked in two runs.

Lilly Dudrey had a two-run triple.

Grape Crush 1, Daredevils 1

In a game featuring great defense , Grape Crush and the Daredevils

fought to a tie.

Solid pitching from Nicole Chennault and Madison Koci held the

Daredevils to only one run for the entire game.

Koci singled and scored on Shelby Klaetsch’s RBI to tie the game

for the Grape Crush.

Grape Crush 2 Untouchables 1

Defense again led the way for the Grape Crush.

The Untouchables took a 1-0 lead in the first inning and looked to

add another run, but Madison Koci’s throw to the plate from shortstop

was in time to catcher Francesca Rand, who made the put out.

In the bottom of the first, Koci hit a home run to tie the game.

Madison Koci also pitched the final three innings and had strong

defensive support from Mallory Koci, Nicole Chennault and Ashlee

Gomez.

Madison Koci also had the game-winning hit, which drove home

Shelby Klaetsch.
