The Laguna Beach High baseball team split two recent Pacific Coast

League games at home. .

The Breakers rallied from a three-run deficit to down Calvary

Chapel, 6-4, and dropped a 10-4 decision Tuesday to Corona del Mar.

Conley Sampson delivered a two-run double in the bottom of the

third inning to help Laguna overcome a 3-0 deficit.

The Breakers scored five runs in the third to take a 5-3 lead, and

the teams each scored once in the sixth inning.

Alex Wilson finished with two RBIs, Calvin Meads drove in a run

and Garrett Rauch doubled for the Breakers.

Starter Aaron Pickett earned the win. Jake Wheeler relieved

Pickett and Grant Harrell closed on the mound as Laguna swept the

three-game series with the Eagles.

On Tuesday, Corona del Mar, undefeated in PCL play and atop the

league standings, jumped out to a 4-0 lead in the top of the first

inning.

The Sea Kings used a home run and double to take command early,

but Kevin Kelly homered in the bottom of the second inning for

Laguna’s first run.

Corona del Mar answered with two runs in the third and four more

in the fourth, to pull away to a 10-1 lead.

Grant Harrell hit a long home run to left field in the fourth

inning for Laguna, which scored its final two runs in the seventh to

make the final 10-4.

Kelly finished the game with two RBIs.

Laguna closes out its league series with the Sea Kings today at

Corona del Mar. First pitch is at 3:15 p.m.
